These hard drives are available in Small Form Factor (2.5in) and Large Form Factor (3.5in) for both hot plug and non-hot plug environments.

New 6Gb/sec data transfer rate exclusively for HP ProLiant Gen8 servers, with new hot plug carrier design.
Midline SATA offers customers the lowest $/GB drives and increased features over Entry SATA.

Improved rotational vibration robustness for immunity to environmental rotational affects. SATA Applications

With the attractive low acquisition cost and high capacity points of SATA drives it is important to understand the appropriate applications where SATA drives should be used.
